Cause Day, May 21, 2019

This year Birch Meadow School is participating in Cause Day, a day where students can show their support for social justice, health related, and environmental causes.

Beginning in April, each day at morning announcements, Student Council members describe the causes that students can support on Cause Day.

By April 12, each family received Cause Fund envelopes and a family letter in their child's backpack.  A copy of the family letter is here.

In physical education class,  students will participate in learning stations about various disabilities and physical differences.

During the week of May 13, students will bring their collection envelopes to school.

On Tuesday, May 21, we will celebrate cause day. Students will wear the color their selected cause to school.  At All School Meeting, student council members present on Cause Day and its connection to our Core Values.

Please note fundraising for Cause Day is completely OPTIONAL.   We do not want any child going door to door for donations.  Your family can decide if or how you want to contribute to the cause or if your child wants to do an informal project, for instance a lemonade stand or returning cans/bottles for deposits, to raise funds for their cause. Our goal is to create an awareness and community spirit around supporting work we believe in.
