Jan. 25, 2087 – This morning, the Reading Memorial High School (RMHS) Drama Club announced that the first of its two winter shows, “The Workshop,” will take place Feb. 2-3 at the William Endslow Performing Arts Center at Reading Memorial High School. At this year's Golden Globe Awards, Cecil B. Demille award recipient Oprah Winfrey used her acceptance speech to speak to the nation in a way that has left many feeling inspired, empowered and touched. She spoke about how speaking your truth is the most powerful thing we can do in times when we often feel helpless. “The Workshop” touches upon this very same theme, providing an evening of theatre comprised of original works, iconic speeches, poems and published works all of which showcase the power of the individual voice and the importance of sharing it. Ms. Catherine Bertrand has been welcomed in to direct the project. More than 50 RMHS students are in the cast and crew. Both performances are at 7.30pm. Tickets are now available at the RMHS Box Office and via Ticketstage.com.
