Welcome Back!

Dear Families:  We hope you are well during the start of this unprecedented school year.  Despite this year starting a little differently, we plan to continue to find ways to support the amazing staff at RMHS who have been working tirelessly to begin the year.  If you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them.  We are looking forward to your involvement with the school, whether it is attending virtual PTO meetings, supporting an academic competition, artistic endeavor, or athletic event…

Dear Families:

We hope you are well during the start of this unprecedented school year.  Despite this year starting a little differently, we plan to continue to find ways to support the amazing staff at RMHS who have been working tirelessly to begin the year.  If you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them.  We are looking forward to your involvement with the school, whether it is attending virtual PTO meetings, supporting an academic competition, artistic endeavor, or athletic event (virtually or in-person!). We would like to welcome you as members of the RMHS PTO.

RMHS PTO

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is open to all RMHS parents and guardians and provides the school with much needed financial and advisory support. The PTO meets quarterly and depends on your participation to discuss vital school issues and raise funds for student programs. Information about meeting dates and other activities will be posted on the PTO section of the school’s website, as well as the RMHS PTO Facebook page.

PTO DUES (different from Class Dues) - $40 per family (not per student)

You may submit your $40 annual dues via PayPal using the online link https://bit.ly/2MnjShb or mail a check to the RMHS Main Office, 62 Oakland Road. The PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization and dues are tax-deductible. We are happy to accept additional donations or matching gifts from your employer.

This year we are pivoting to provide funds, as needed, to help support the staff as they return to school. The ways in which the PTO can do that this school year is ever evolving under the current circumstances and we welcome any suggestions.  In recent years dues have provided funding for:

  • Remind Subscription (2020)
  • student agendas (provided to every student)
  • funding for after school RMHS library hours
  • books and resource materials for the RMHS library/media center
  • enrichment programs and speakers
  • scholarships for graduating seniors
  • staff appreciation events
  • outdoor picnic tables for lunch
  • ice cream for freshmen orientation
  • ceiling fans for 4th floor

Please join us for PTO meetings this year held on Tuesdays at 7:00pm, right now via Zoom, but we hope to be in person as soon as it can be done safely: 10/6, 1/5, 3/2, 5/4. Meeting agendas generally include featured speakers, timely topics, and updates on the school and the PTO.

Thank you for your continued support!

The RMHS PTO Board: Marianne Tompkins, Kathy Kinney, Christine Strack and Rebecca Schromm
